Stuck!?

Hello,
I'm just sharing with you my last challenge LO for 2011, for Stuck Skethes...

At first glance this sketch seemed hard to work with, but here's what I came up with...

Hope you have a very safe and happy New Year.

7 More Sleeps....

With Christmas just around the corner I thought I would share a couple of Chrissy LO's..

For the first one I have used Stuck's December 1st sketch...
Lots of Kaiser Craft products on this page and Echo Park twine..
The next LO is done for Scrap the Girls. The challenge was to scrap baby photos... I chose a photo of me sitting on Santa's knee at my first Christmas...
The background/border was pre-created from leftover scraps..
I made these present embellishments from aluminium foil and cardboard and a silver string. The bunting was created from vellum and twine.
Thanks for stopping by...
Merry Christmas and enjoy your week..

Show Us Your Stuff

HI
Have you checked out Show Us Your Stuff's sketch for December yet??
Well...
 And my sample...

This sketch is super versatile- I decided to rotate my LO!! My LO is covered in embellishments, fabric and paper from Tattered Inspirations, who are sponsoring this months challenge...
Don't forget to try this months 'Try this' technique, melted organza flowers, to score yourself an extra prize... This could also be your handmade embellishment..!
Be sure to head over to SUYS to check out the other gorgeous DT samples.

Thanks for stopping by,
Hope you're enjoying the festive season...

White with 1

Hello,
In the midst of exams and DT commitments (including one exciting project), I have only had ago at one challenge LO for this month for White with 1.
The criteria- white + one bright colour + flowers...

I designed the wave shapes (which seem to reoccur in many of my recent LO's) and masked them, I  also added watercolour to some to create layers.

Looking forward to starting the countdown tomorrow, my favourite time of the year...

Get Picky...

HI,
I'm just sharing with you a layout I created for Get Picky...

This month was a photo prompt challenge, using this gorgeous image...I love the colours and patterns so I had to have a go. You also had to include fabric and multiple photos of course...
Here's my layout, inspired by the colour palette... I used fabric for the yellow flower and also some purple tulle... The spotted paper has a shiny texture, that's why the colour looks a bit odd..

Thanks for stopping by..

Show Us Your Stuff

I am so excited to reveal my first layout as a DT member for SUYS...
I am thrilled to be part of the Group 1 design team, which is a sketch challenge revealed at the start of every month...

Anyway, here is this month's sketch...

And here's my sample...

Chipboard, including the lovely frame, is donated from Scrapware, who are sponsoring this month's challenge... Papers are from Echo Park and Little Yellow Bicycle...
If you're playing along, remember to include a handmade embellishment, like my spiral flowers- so easy once you get the hang of it...

Again a big thankyou to Marelle at SUYS and also Ebony and all the other girls for welcoming onto the team...
So if you haven't already, head over to Show Us Your Stuff to see what the other girls have created this month...

Happy scrapping,
Sophie xx

Just In Time...

Hello,
I have two challenge layouts for October to share before the end of the month...

This one I've done for White with 1, the palette: white and black + paint/mist...
I was a bit hesitant at first to try this months palette, I'm definitely a 'colour' person!! But its always good to try something new..!

I also played along with 'Stuck's' Oct 15 sketch... Another circle themed sketch...love it!
Hope you had a great weekend...
Enjoy your week...

Layouts to Share

HI,
Today I'm sharing with you a couple of layouts I created over the holidays...

The first one I created for Stuck?! Sketches. I had to play along this month when I saw their fun, versatile sketch...
I went for a Christmas theme... Instead of circles, I went for bal-balbs and I love these new (and old) season papers...

This second layout I created when I went to scrap with the lovely and very talented Ebony van der Starre. Ebony has been very encouraging of me exposing my work and very supportive...
I had fun playing with mists and masks to create this Spring layout, that also won me 1st prize at the Murtoa Show...

Hope you enjoy your weekend...

New PJ's

made by me...

A couple of days ago I made these, cute and comfortable, flanelette PJ pants...

The quick and easy pattern is a Make It Perfect pattern and the super cute material is from Spotlight, I love the bird pattern.
They fit really well and are super comfy...  I'll have to wait for next season to get a good wear out of them though, the weather is finally warming up here...

Hope you're getting some sunshine too :)
Have a great weekend...

Show Us Your Stuff

Hello again, I'm back with a layout share...

This one I've done for Show Us Your Stuff, using the sketch from September 1st.
The photo was taken by the local newspaper at my dance concert this year. We are dancing to Hey, Soul Sister (which you've probably assumed) and I think my layouts colours and textures really suit the feel of the dance.
Hope you like it...
Stayed tuned over at SUYS for the October 1st challenge...

Thanks for stopping by,
