Scrap the Girls

This months challenge at Scrap the Girls was to scrap photo's taken outdoors! The photo's I scrapped were much to our horror, taken outside on a freezing winters morning by a friend for her Vis-com assignment! We came into school on a Wednesday (our day off), the day before our final was due to quickly pose, like "sophicated young women" with cups of tea for Emily! It was actually a lot of fun and we soon forgot that it was 14 degrees outside! Brrrr.....

Stuck!?

Hi guys,
Just popping in to share with you a couple of LO's I've done using this months sketches at Stuck!
This first one is inspired by the June 1st Sketch, using papers and embellishments from the May, a Piece of Cake Designs kit! I absolutely love the colours in this kit, they really are good enough to eat!

Here, I used the June 15 sketch and created a layout for a friend! I'm sure you all recognize her two gorgeous kiddies, Will and Maya! I snapped this image at the start of the year when I was down visiting her and meeting Marelle! I absolutely adore it and have been meaning to scrap it for a long time now!

Show Us Your Stuff...June...

Hi all,
This months challenge is to take inspiration from this image! How adorable is this hand crafted bird from Ashley at Secret Holiday!

 

I was immediately inspired by the soft pastel colours and the texture of the material, resulting in this...

Unintentionally I have used an assortment of products from the recent Crate Paper range, some of which were included in the May, A Piece of Cake designs kit! I have also used the alphas, tape and twine included in the kit!

I'm really happy with the finished layout, love the softness and delicious colour palette! Yumm....

A "delicious" JUNE Release

Raquel over at a Piece of Cake Designs is revealing the June Kit in just a few moments!! The Last, First Day

 Here is the LO I created for Stuck's! May 1st sketch! It is very grungy! Lots of texture paste, mist, paint and ink! It was heaps of fun creating the paper collage out of scraps, even though it took forever!

Have to say it was a little confronting heading off for my 'last, first day' at school! Now, that is nothing compared to what I'm anticipating in the next few week! Exams and lots of assignments! Plus my Vis-Com folder is due! I'd love to show you! Maybe I'll give you a glimpse of some designs soon!!

SUYS- May 1st Challenge

Have you checked out the May 1st challenge over at Show Us Your Stuff yet? The challenge is to take inspiration from a photo you'll find over at the site! (Sorry I couldn't put it up here. Blogger is being stubborn and will only let me upload one photo!) I have been inspired by the colour palette and grungy brick work that you'll see in the photo!

I have also used some yummy Charm's Creations, who we are lucky enough to have sponsering this months challenge! If a voucher for some of these wonderful creations isn't enough to get you playing along, I don't know what will!!
